Dr. Andrew Johnson
Board Certified Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Johnson took a unique path to dentistry, graduating with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He went on to work for several years in this field prior to pursuing his true calling in dentistry. He received his doctorate degree from the University Of North Carolina School Of Dentistry. Following graduation, he completed two additional years of specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, a hospital consistently ranked in the top ten of all U.S. Children’s Hospitals. Dr. Johnson and his family never lost their love for Charlotte and immediately returned following his residency to start his own practice.
A strong proponent of lifelong learning, Dr. Johnson achieved Board Certification and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the Charlotte Dental Society and the North Carolina Dental Society. When not at the office, Dr. Johnson enjoys family time with his wife, Heidi, and two children, Sam and Lauren.
Interesting fact: If Dr. J wasn’t a pediatric dentist, he would be a fighter pilot.
Holly Heffernan – Practice Manager
Holly, originally from Asheboro, NC, relocated to Charlotte in September of 2010. She brings with her eight years experience in the dental field and enjoys building relationships with our patients and their families. Very active at Forest Hill Church she serves as a vocalist in music ministry and leads a 6th grade girls ADVANCE ministry team. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her husband, Kevin and their mini schnauzer, Cooper!

Rhonda Allen- Dental Assistant
Rhonda is a native of Charlotte, who now lives in Harrisburg, along with her husband Tom and two boys. She has been a pediatric dental assistant since 2002, providing compassionate care to each child she meets. Rhonda and her family keep busy with tennis, basketball, football and track.
Interesting fact: Rhonda is very talented in crafting and home décor. You can find her homemade wreaths and baskets throughout the office!
Kayla Turner – Patient Care Coordinator
Kayla is originally from West Palm Beach, FL. She relocated to Charlotte four years ago and has quickly called it home! She loves animals, children and wishes to have a family of her own some day. Kayla has been in customer service for over seven years and finds great pleasure getting to know each of our families at Southpark Pediatric Dentistry! When not working, you can find Kayla on a beach, exercising or spending time with her family!
Interesting fact: Born in Great Falls Montana where her father served in the United States Air Force.
Casey Lingle – Dental Assistant
A true small town girl from Salisbury, NC, Casey joined our team in May of 2011! With her warm spirit, Casey has a calming nature that comforts each of our patients. She is an active member in her church where she works with several ministries, including the youth ministry. In her spare time, Casey loves spending time with her family and exploring the outdoors.
Interesting fact: Plays the saxophone like she is part of the E Street Band!
